Saudi Arabia is assigning massive human and financial resources to advancing its standing across all science and technology sectors. The National Science and Technology Plan, led by KACST and the Kingdom’s other relevant science organisations, is comprised of over 190 programs and related projects. The plan involves 62 government organisations and is supported by a multi-billion SR budget. 15 strategic technologies have been identified as being the main priorities for development. The outcome of this project will shape the economic future of the country and this is the focus of the Advanced Technologies Forum (ATF) 2011.
